I’m thrilled to be teaming up with Naomi Clement for a workshop on all things studio practices! We will be elaborating on a variety of topics essential to being a production potter. Some of the subjects we will be covering include:
Structuring time in the studio, and ways we streamline production
How we schedule our making cycles & what our days look like
Balancing studio time vs. admin time
Work/life balance
Creating sustainable careers—the physical and emotional side of making pottery
Dealing with studio burnout, and learning to say no
And more!
Hope to see you there!
Looking forward to participating in this group show!

ClayAKAR's 15th annual Yunomi Invitational featuring 6 Yunomi by 200 artists
Definition of Yunomi (U-No-Me): A cup with a trimmed or turned foot, without a handle. Unlike the more formal Chawan tea bowl, which is used during the Japanese tea ceremony, the Yunomi is made for daily (or informal) tea drinking. While a Chawan's is not too tall and narrow for vigorous whisking of tea and held with two hands, a Yunomi is taller and not as wide and used mostly to drink tea made with tea leaves and held with one hand.
Honoured to be presenting with the Ceramic School’s Ceramic Congress this May! Join us for “3 days of amazing-jam-packed-mind-blowing workshops from ceramic artists around the world”!!!
I will be updating my online shop on April 17th at 11am MDT! Check in earlier that week to see the sale preview. The sale has sold quickly in the past, so it is a good idea to set up an account on the website ahead of time for speedier checkout.
Also, I have made the decision to sell my work in USD. With the majority of my pottery from recent sales headed to the states, and to align with my US gallery pricing, it just makes sense.
To my dear Canadian customers, I know this makes things a little pricier for you, so I will be covering the sales tax for your purchases. Thank you for your support!
Dear students,
It’s with great sadness that I write this, but I’m sure you already knew it was coming. Considering the current state of the world, I am cancelling my July and August workshops. (Boooooooo…..)
I was so looking forward to our time together this Summer! I hope you are all keeping well in these strange and difficult times.
Big hugs and best wishes,
Sarah
My online sale goes live at 10am MST! Please go to my shop page to see the sale:)
